About I.C.M.

A Ministry Born from Faith

International Cedars Ministry was founded in Lebanon in 2022 by David Cruz (Arkan Al Maarouf) and Caroline McCall, whose journey toward establishing the ministry began thousands of miles away in Southern California.

After enduring profound personal tragedy during their years in San Diego, David, Caroline, and their daughter, Crystal, felt an unmistakable calling to return to Lebanon.

As U.S. citizens, they left behind the comfort and stability of their lives in Southern California and moved to a country facing significant political, economic, and social challenges.

With few established relationships and no detailed blueprint for what lay ahead, they took a step of faith. David, originally from Iraq, and Caroline, from Lebanon, shared one unwavering conviction: God was calling them to Lebanon, and they chose to follow.

What began as an act of faith gradually grew into a ministry dedicated to bringing hope and encouragement to others.

From a Small Apartment to a Growing Community

Today, David and Caroline regularly open their Beirut apartment to leaders from across Lebanese society. On many weeks, 50 to 75 people gather there—political, business, cultural, community, and faith leaders sitting alongside one another in a remarkably personal setting.

These gatherings are intentionally relational. They provide opportunities for conversation, fellowship, prayer, encouragement, and the building of friendships across boundaries that often separate people in Lebanese society.

What We Do

ICM serves leaders through an integrated approach combining spiritual formation, ethical leadership, relationship-building, and social responsibility. Since its founding, its work has included:

  • Bringing leaders together for gatherings centered on peace, unity, prayer, and constructive dialogue
  • Providing prayer, encouragement, counseling, and mentoring
  • Developing relationships among leaders who might otherwise rarely interact
  • Connecting Lebanese leaders with leaders internationally
  • Creating opportunities for reconciliation and cooperation across political, cultural, social, and religious lines

ICM is non-denominational and works with people from many religious and cultural backgrounds while remaining firmly grounded in the life and teachings of Jesus.

Our goal is not simply to organize events. It is to build relationships, develop leaders, and create a growing community committed to integrity, service, reconciliation, and peace.

Our Vision

International Cedars Ministry seeks to build a growing community of leaders who are deeply rooted in God, lead with integrity and wisdom, serve others with humility, and help bridge the divisions within Lebanon and beyond.

ICM is pioneering a ministry in Lebanon intentionally focused on supporting leaders and decision-makers across the major spheres of culture and society.

Like the cedars for which Lebanon is known, we envision leaders who are deeply rooted, resilient through adversity, and able to stand strong for generations.

Our Mission

To raise Christ-like leaders who, like the cedars of Lebanon, are deeply rooted in God’s Word and Spirit and equipped to influence society with integrity, wisdom, courage, and compassion.

We seek to disciple, equip, encourage, and connect leaders across government, business, education, faith, culture, and civil society—helping them develop Christ-like character and use their influence responsibly for the good of others.

We also seek to build relationships that cross denominational, religious, political, cultural, and national boundaries, creating opportunities for leaders to discover common ground and work together for peace and the future of Lebanon.
